The Future Transport project is initiated by Universeum, the largest Science Center in the Nordic Countries, and carried out each year in collaboration with a number of partners from business and academy. In the project students in grade 7 and 8 compete against each other and develop ideas for how to move and transport goods in a more sustainable way in the future (more specifically for the year 2049!).
Greencarrier and the Future Day
The grand finale of the Future Transport project is an event called the Future Day, held on 29th of January 2019. During this exhibition day, all students show their transport ideas and the best innovations will be appointed.
Greencarrier will be part of the jury that selects the winner, and we will also award a competing class with Greencarrier’s own honorary price. We will have our own exhibition stand in the partner exhibition and participate as experts in several panel discussions.
Collaboration for a sustainable future
The overall purpose of the project is to create a forum for dialogue and to engage, inspire and make students interested in environment and sustainable technology as well as showing different types of job functions in the transport industry. This goes well in line with our ambitions within the Greencarrier Spirit, which highlights how we take responsibility for the society and the world around us.
