As earlier announced by our CEO Björn Eklund, our ambition is to think outside the box and deliver smart and customised solutions. This turned out to be particularly true for our business unit Energy & Projects, which was confirmed during the summer when we performed highly professional maritime service support in Moss, Norway.
Smart customised logistics solutions
In the field of Energy & Projects we provide smart customised project solutions for the Oil & Gas and Maritime business. During several weeks our team in Moss, headed by Ulf Raab and Jørgen Vogt, executed totally six maritime service projects for Technip in Norway and Sub Sea 7. The operations took place at the facilities of Nexans and Aker in Moss. During the period of time we provided Technip and Sub Sea 7 with maritime logistics support for more than 20 million NOK.
Taking responsibility for port logistics and related activities
Our main tasks were to provide everything needed to run the operations as smooth as possible, including:
- Vessel agency and husbandry services
- Crew change and accommodation, visa application where required
- Marine surveyors, naval architects and port captains
- Cargo inspections including loading and discharging
- Bunkering, freshwater supply and medical services
- Air, ocean and overland transport
- Customs clearance
- Chartering services for air and ocean
- Project cargo and out of gauge transport
- Warehousing, packing and preservation
- Logistic personnel, procurement assistance, expediting and site management
