Environmental issues are important to Greencarrier. So important that we have marked the environment as a strategic focus area in our daily work. Therefore we also participated in the political week at Almedalen, Sweden.
Almedalen is a yearly event where politicians, media, trade organizations and interest organizations meet and interact. This year came over 30 000 visitors and nearly 1,000 journalists to Almedalen at Visby.
By participating at Almedalen this year we wanted to address the environmental issue in general and the fact that we need clearer transport regulations within the EU specifically. We want to be able to offer both sustainable transports but also competitive transports. Therefore are these questions always high on our agenda.
Greencarrier was for the first time participating in a panel discussion in Almedalen, hosted by the Swedish International Freight Association (SIFA) on the subject Goods transport and the environment. We really think we can make a difference being here taking actions for sustainable transportation and the environment and so we intend to do.
