In the spirit of the holiday season, Greencarrier has decided on where to send our annual Christmas donation. This year, it will be given to Plan international. The organization works tirelessly to ensure human rights for young girls around the world, and especially making sure they get access to education. For each additional year spent in school for a young girl in a developing country, it is estimated that her future income increases by 10%.

Recognizing education as both a fundamental right and a key to independence and empowerment, the donation aims to address the alarming inequalities faced by millions of girls globally. In the shadow of climate change, global famine, and conflicts, girls often find themselves with limited control over their futures.

“We are very happy to give our support where it is really needed. That a large group of people, in this case girls and you women, risk to be excluded from development and opportunities is as astonishing as regrettable. Through Plan International, we know that more girls will get that access to an education which is so important. And while education is crucial, we are also happy to see Plan’s work with human rights for children on a broader level, too. So, from all of us at the Greencarrier Group, a very Merry Christmas and keep up the amazing work you do.” Says Stefan Björk, Founder & Chairman of the Board, of Greencarrier.

Greencarrier Spirit – our way of giving back to the society and planet

Greencarrier’s commitment extends beyond the Christmas donation. We operate under the Greencarrier Spirit, allocating 1% of our annual profits to the Greencarrier Spirit fund. This fund supports sustainability projects both locally and globally, allowing employees to initiate projects that contribute to the well-being of both society and the planet.
